Is Pattern Beauty Good for Curly Hair?

In this article, I break down the products in the new Tracee Ellis Ross new hair care line and explore if Pattern Beauty is good for curly hair.

I’ve been meaning to do a write-up on several black-owned businesses that have launched in the last year but been busy moving and testing out products.

I will cover them over the next few articles on Healthy Natural Hair Products starting with Pattern Beauty from Tracee Ellis Ross.

Tracee Ellis Ross Launches Pattern Beauty

Is Pattern Hair Care Black Owned?

In case you’re unfamiliar, I’m talking about Ms. Ross of Girlfriends (90s) and the more recent Blackish so yes, Pattern hair care is black-owned.

I have always loved Ms. Ross’s big bouncy 3C curls and was stoked to hear she was getting into the hair care business.

With the tag line, “Every curl has a story,” Pattern Beauty, a haircare line designed for type 3 – 4 curlies was launched in September this year.

Their mission – To fulfill the unmet beauty needs of the CURLY, COILY & TIGHT TEXTURED community. To celebrate, empower & embrace our true patterns.

Pattern Beauty’s product line includes shampoos, conditioners, deep conditioners, leave-in conditioners, styling products and hair accessories.

One of the things I love about Pattern Beauty is the vibrant colors, cool packaging, and ad campaigns.

The campaigns feature big a** afros and curls including Tracee herself. I am feeling the heck out of the image below:-

According to Tracee, Pattern beauty “…is the result of 20 years of dreaming, 10 years in the making (I wrote my first brand pitch in 2008, right when Girlfriends finished) and 2 years of working with chemists…”

Pattern Beauty claims the formulas are unique and packed with luscious and safe ingredients. Without further ado, let’s check out these claims then.
