As I Am Moisture Milk Review
I used the moisture milk as part of my weekly regimen of cleansing and deep conditioning followed by twisting.
I actually used 3 As I Am products in this session – the classic coconut co-wash, moisture milk, and twist & shine defining cream.
I pre-pooed in twists overnight with my aloe vera juice and coconut oil mix.
The next morning, I co-washed with the coconut co-wash still maintaining the sections and twists.
I applied a little bit of co-wash to each section and worked in like a shampoo then rinsed thoroughly. I only applied once.
After cleansing, I deep conditioned with heat for 40 minutes, rinsed, and then got to the good part.
I deep conditioned with a mix of Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner & Biotera Long & Healthy Deep Moisture Conditioner.

The moisture milk is a creamy yet thin consistency which I loved. I applied it to a small section followed by hair styling oil and then the twist defining cream.
The combination melted any tangles and I twisted up the section. I moved pretty fast from start to finish because of how easy the products I applied made the styling process.
Afterward, I threw the twists in a bun to air dry and that was it. I usually keep the twists in for 1 – 2 weeks before my next full regimen session.
7 Reasons I Loved As I Am Moisture Milk – Daily Hair Revitalizer
1. Understated Fragrance
The fragrance of As I Am Moisture Milk is bubbly and pleasant but not overpowering. It gently fades away as your hair dries.
2. Amazing Texture
As I Am Moisture Milk texture is amazing. It is milky as the name indicates but it’s not so thin that it runs down your neck. I didn’t feel like I needed to dilute it.
3. Enhances Manageability
As I Am Moisture Milk does enhance manageability and melted away any latent tangles on my hair before twisting.
4. You Only Need a Little At a Time
A little goes a long way. However, even though I was a bit heavy-handed with As I Am Moisture Milk, it didn’t make my hair sticky.
It didn’t leave behind any white residue either. Don’t do this if using it as a daily leave-in though. That will lead to a quick build-up.
5. Enhances Curl and Coil Definition
Because I twisted my hair, I didn’t observe this benefit but I’m sure when used in the Max Hydration Method, you can expect great curl and coil definition.
I’m going to try this milk with the Max Hydration Method when summer rolls around and upload the results.
6. Suitable for Fine Textures
As I Am Moisture Milk is so milky, it’s perfect for people with fine textures whose hair is easily weighed down by hair products.
7. Budget-Friendly Price
Pocket-friendly price. As I Am Moisture Milk comes in a big 8 fl oz bottle and retails for only $16.
Cons of As I Am Moisture Milk
None so far. I loved the product and look forward to using it again. I give As I Am Moisture Milk an outstanding 5/5.
Hopefully, they never mess with the ingredients in this leave-in moisturizer.
